London Birds: “roosting overhead”

My wife jumped out of her skin after leaving my workshop last night. Noise made by the door startled several fat crows roosting in our thick, dark, blue spruce and they flew away directly over her head.

My wife re-entered the workshop hastily and asked if I’d been attacked by crows lately.

"Crows to the north of me"

“Not lately,” I said.

But, it appears chances are good.

"Crows to the south of me"
